Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled WordPress and Shopify Developer to build and maintain e-commerce websites. You will leverage your expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js to create responsive, high-quality websites and resolve technical issues with precision. This on-site role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering seamless online experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Development:
- Build and manage e-commerce websites using WordPress (including WooCommerce) and Shopify platforms.
- Create responsive, user-friendly, and high-performance websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js.
- Set up and configure WordPress and Shopify sites to meet project and brand requirements.
- Issue Resolution:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on WordPress and Shopify platforms with accuracy and efficiency, addressing functionality, performance, and compatibility problems.
- Ensure consistent performance across browsers and devices.
- Deliver reliable solutions to maintain site security and uptime.
- Optimization & Maintenance:
- Optimize websites for speed, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and user experience.
- Perform regular updates, maintenance, and security checks to ensure platform stability.
- Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Integration:
- Connect third-party tools and APIs (e.g., payment gateways like Stripe, PayPal, RazorPay; marketing tools; inventory systems) to WordPress and Shopify sites.
- Ensure smooth data flow and functionality between front-end and backend systems.
- Collaboration:
- Work with designers, marketers, and developers to achieve project goals.
- Clearly explain technical solutions to non-technical team members.
- Engage in agile processes, including sprint planning and code reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js for building responsive web interfaces.
- Experience developing and troubleshooting WordPress (including WooCommerce) and Shopify websites.
- Knowledge of SEO, web performance optimization, and accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience:
- Open to freshers with no prior professional experience; projects, coursework, or personal initiatives in WordPress or Shopify are a plus.
- For full-time roles: Candidates with 1 year of professional experience developing and troubleshooting e-commerce websites on WordPress and Shopify are also welcome.
- Portfolio (for full-time applicants) or academic/personal projects (for freshers and interns) showcasing WordPress and Shopify website development or issue resolution.
- Experience or exposure to integrating APIs and third-party tools with WordPress and Shopify (optional for freshers and interns, preferred for full-time roles).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Python and frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django, FastAPI).
- Knowledge of Next.js for server-side rendering or static site generation.
- Familiarity with Node.js and Express.js for backend APIs.
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, BigCommerce).
- Understanding of UX/UI design for e-commerce.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or a related field (or equivalent experience).
